The 2025 Summer Concert Series
The Albion Area Arts Council is hosting 5 Thursday-night concerts in The Venue by Cornerstone at 129 S 4th Street, the heart of downtown Albion. Each of the concerts showcases artists known locally, regionally, and/or nationally, some of the bands even boasting Nebraska and Albion-born performers! Several food trucks or other food services will be on hand each night. On Thursday, July 3rd, we will be hosting our 2nd Annual 4th of July on Fourth Street, an all-day, family-friendly event with live music, vendors lining the street, kids stations, and live artists.
Our Mission: “Creating opportunities to connect communities through the arts.”
This is accomplished by rethinking how we strategically integrate the arts into our communities. Our mission is to offer accessible, engaging, and educational experiences that connect people and increase awareness and advocacy of the arts in rural communities.
In living out its mission commitment to “create opportunities to connect communities through the arts,” Albion Area Arts Council sees itself as a resource for improving lives in and strengthening the civic fabric of Albion and its neighboring communities. Exposure to the Arts is valuable in and of itself, yet we also recognize its power as a tool for human betterment. Insofar as our resources permit, we seek to develop mutually beneficial relationships with individuals and organizations to help us further the public good. We will approach these relationships as learners, understanding that our expertise lies in arts advocacy in rural communities and that our partners are the authorities in their fields of interest.
Out of these relationships, we will develop experiences in which art programs and events support community goals. We aspire to contribute to all things of importance to Albion and its neighboring communities and be recognized as a reliable and flexible collaborator on projects that make Albion and its neighboring communities a better place to live.
Our Goal for this year is to raise $30,000 to cover the costs of musicians, artists, and performers!
Amount raised so far: $8,124.60. *Updated 3/25/25
